ishq sanam se ho gaya uske asar ko kya karun
ishq sanam se ho gayā us ke asar ko kyā karūñ
banda huuñ terā ai ḳhudā husn-e-bashar ko kyā karūñ
nūr-e-sahar se raushnī dair meñ ho huā kare
mujh ko to tum pasand ho apnī nazar ko kyā karūñ
bāġh-o-bahār hai to kyā saaqī lāla-rū nahīñ
jām-o-subū se kyā ġharz shams-o-qamar ko kyā karūñ

banda hun tera ai KHuda husn-e-bashar ko kya karun
nur-e-sahar se raushni dair mein ho hua kare
mujh ko to tum pasand ho apni nazar ko kya karun
bagh-o-bahaar hai to kya saqi lala-ru nahin
jam-o-subu se kya gharz shams-o-qamar ko kya karun
