The sun was at its highest point, and four devoted Indian Muslims approached a mosque to pray at noon. They began to pray as they sat shoulder to shoulder, each with a distinct hope in his heart. The sound of the muezzin ascended in the air halfway through their prayer, making them wonder if they had been too fast in starting to pray. Dear public crier, are you sure you're not later this afternoon calling out the muezzin? one of the four men questioned the muezzin caller.

My dear friend, what have you done? said one of the Indians to his comrade. Your prayer has been nullified because you spoke while praying!

Hey, why do you blame him? screamed the third Indian to the second. You did the same thing, and now you've broken your own prayer!

The fourth Indian exclaimed, Thank God I didn't say something stupid like these three! I'm far too intelligent to make such blunder! He boasted, oblivious of his own equally catastrophic deficit. My prayer is still valid! he boasted.

That day, all four men's prayers, which had attempted to outmaneuver each other in their assessments, were invalidated in this fashion.
