Profile of Chheet Swami
A disciple of Vitthaldas and a poet of Ashtachap, Chhit Swami was born in Mathura. His family was called the Purohit of Veerbal. Biographers relate that he was quite a prankster and quarrelsome too. On entering the sect, he became a devotee and poet of high order. Hundreds of verses are found.
