Profile of Pandit Jawahar Nath Saqi
The heir of one of Delhi’s prominent Kashmiri Pandit families, Saqi had started writing couplets at 15. He wrote in both Persian and Urdu. For some time, he sought corrections from Mirza Ghalib's famous pupil 'Zaki' Dehalvi. Like 'Sahir' Dehalvi, Vedanta and Sufism is manifest in his poetry.
