chuuñ faut shavam ba-bāda go.ed marā
talqīn za sharāb-o-jām go.ed marā
kHvābed ki rose-e-hashr yābed marā
az ḳhāk-e-dar-e-mai-kada bo.ed marā
Ah, with the Grape my fading life provide,
And wash the Body whence the life has died...
And lay me, shrouded in living leaf,
By some not unfrequented Garden-side.
