ḳhat-e-sabz-o-lab-e-la.al-o-ruḳh-e-zebā daarī
husn-e-yūsuf dam-e-īsā yad-e-baizā daarī
Your frill is like emerald, your lips are crimson, and your countenance is beautiful.
Within you shines the charm of Joseph, the breath of Jesus, and the shining hand of Moses.
sheva-o-shakl-o-shamā.il-o-harakāt-o-sakanāt
āñ-che ḳhūbāñ hama dārand tū tanhā daarī
The grace of form and character, habit and disposition – Whatever share was destined for all the beauties of the world – has been gathered in you alone.
tā-tabassum na-kunī aql na-goyad hargiz
kandarīñ āb-e-ḳhizr lūlu-e-lālā daarī
Until you smile, reason itself seems mute,
For within that water of immortality you gleam like a ruby of paradise.
dil-o-dīñ burdī-o-hosh-o-ḳhirad-o-sabr-o-qarār
dīgar az 'ḳhusrav'-e-bedil che tamannā daarī
You have stolen away heart, faith, intellect, awareness, and all patience and composure.
What else could Bīdel and Khusrau give you, O beloved, beyond this?
