The Qadris of Punjab were renowned for their interest in the Hindu philosophies. Bulleh Shah's spiritual teacher Inayat Shah also studied the systems of thought prevalent amongst the Hindu. He has elaborately discussed in his work Dastur-al-Amal, the various practices employed by the Hindus for the attainment of salivation. Prince Dara Shukah, a Qadri mystic has already prepared or got prepared the Persian translation of the Upnishads for the use of the Sufis. He was very much influenced by the knowledge contained in the Upnishads and he expressed all appreciations for it in his works.
