in 1920, aligarh magazine was launched under the editorship of professor rasheed ahmad siddiqui. many prominent urdu literary figures have been associated with its editorial board, including khwaja manzoor hussain, ale ahmad suroor, zafar ahmad siddiqui, jaan nisar akhtar, abul lais siddiqui, basheer badr, and others. the magazine has published numerous significant scholarly and literary articles. it has played a crucial role in refining literary taste. its special editions, regarded as valuable documents, include the aligarh number, ghalib number, iqbal number, akbar allahabadi number, satire and humor number, fani number, and majaz number.
