uTh gayā ham se go mukaddar ho
ḳhush rahe vo jahāñ ho jīdhar ho
tevrī chaḌh rahī hai ye bhauñ par
kyā hai kyuuñ kis liye mukaddar ho
kyā shitābī hī aise jā.egā
ḳhushk to ho araq abhī tar ho
jaan khaa.ī hai nāseho ne mirī
sāmne in ke to Tuk aa kar ho
liije hāzir hai chiiz kyā hai dil
ġhussa is vāste jo mujh par ho
yaad meñ us kī ghar se niklā huuñ
saḳht be-iḳhtiyār-o-muztar ho
us se 'bedār' baat to ma.alūm
dekhnā bhī kahīñ mayassar ho
