chale jaao uThā lūñgā musībat roz-e-furqat kī
huī taqsīr ye mujh se jo maiñ ne tum se ulfat kī
salāmat-bāsh! ai lailā-e-dil ai soz-e-be-hāsil
tujhī se yaad taaza hai hamāre ahd-e-vahshat kī
tirā chalnā tirā aanā tirā hañsnā tirī bāteñ
miTā kar mujh ko chhoḌeñgī ye tasvīreñ qayāmat kī
chale jao uTha lunga musibat roz-e-furqat ki
hui taqsir ye mujh se jo main ne tum se ulfat ki
salamat-bash! ai laila-e-dil ai soz-e-be-hasil
tujhi se yaad taza hai hamare ahd-e-wahshat ki
tera chalna tera aana tera hansna teri baaten
miTa kar mujh ko chhoDengi ye taswiren qayamat ki
