muddaa aalam se apna hi faqat didar tha
mudda.ā aalam se apnā hī faqat dīdār thā
diid ko apnī ye ā.īna use darkār thā
dil se aage kyuuñ baḌhā tū ai talab-gār-e-visāl
phir idhar bhī to vahī ghar jalva-gāh-e-yār thā
dil havas vāloñ ke mahrūm us ke partav se rahe
jalva-gāh-e-dāġh-e-jānā sīna-e-abrār thā
muddaa aalam se apna hi faqat didar tha
did ko apni ye aaina use darkar tha
dil se aage kyun baDha tu ai talab-gar-e-visal
phir idhar bhi to wahi ghar jalwa-gah-e-yar tha
dil hawas walon ke mahrum us ke partaw se rahe
jalwa-gah-e-dagh-e-jaana sina-e-abrar tha
