qāsid us kā payām kuchh bhī hai

kah duā yā salām kuchh bhī hai
suḳhan-e-mehr-ḳhvāh harf-e-itāb
us ke muñh kā kalām kuchh bhī hai
saaf yā durd-e-bāda-e-gul-gūñ
sāqī-e-lāla-fām kuchh bhī hai
kyā ġham-e-hijr kyā surūr-e-visāl
guzarāñ hai davām kuchh bhī hai
us ruḳh o zulf se ki duuñ tashbīh
ḳhūbī-e-sub.h-o-shām kuchh bhī hai
yaad meñ apne yaar ke rahnā
behtar aur us se kaam kuchh bhī hai
tū jo 'bedār' yuuñ phire hai ḳharāb
pās-e-nāmūs-o-nām kuchh bhī hai
