terā ishq mujh kuuñ hai āb-e-hayāt
na aave mujhe maut tere sañgāt
mohabbat kī shatranj mere saath khel
mujhe shah tū muuñ de ga.e haiñ ki maat
tere bin huā huuñ za.iif is qadar
uḌā de mujhe havā-bād juuñ ghās-pāt
tera ishq mujh kun hai aab-e-hayat
na aawe mujhe maut tere sangat
mohabbat ki shatranj mere sath khel
mujhe shah tu mun de gae hain ki mat
tere bin hua hun zaif is qadar
uDa de mujhe hawa-baad jun ghas-pat
