mirā ġhuncha-e-dil hai vo dil girafta
ki jis ko kisū ne kabhū vā na dekhā
yagāna hai tū aah begānagī meñ
koī dūsrā aur aisā na dekhā
aziyyat musībat malāmat balā.eñ
tire ishq meñ ham ne kyā kyā na dekhā
kiyā muj ko dāġhoñ ne sarv-e-charāġhāñ
kabhū tū ne aa kar tamāshā na dekhā
taġhāful ne tere ye kuchh din dikhā.e
idhar tū ne lekin na dekhā na dekhā
hijāb-e-ruḳh-e-yār the aap hī ham
khulī aañkh jab koī pardā na dekhā
shab o roz ai 'dard' dar pe huuñ us ke
kisū ne jise yaañ na samjhā na dekhā
