ye bhi to kam nahin tera dar chhuTne ke baad
ye bhī to kam nahīñ tirā dar chhūTne ke baa'd
insān ban gayā huuñ maiñ dil TūTne ke baa'd
batlā to rāhbar ab kahāñ kā ḳhayāl hai
phir kis ko lūTnā hai mujhe lūTne ke baa'd
rāhoñ ke pech-o-ḳham meñ bhaTakte rahe 'shamīm'
shāh-e-'arab kā naqsh-e-qadam chhūTne ke baa'd

insan ban gaya hun main dil TuTne ke ba'd
batla to rahbar ab kahan ka KHayal hai
phir kis ko luTna hai mujhe luTne ke ba'd
rahon ke pech-o-KHam mein bhaTakte rahe 'shamim'
shah-e-'arab ka naqsh-e-qadam chhuTne ke ba'd
