har che biinī yaar hasat aġhyār niist
ġhair-e-ū juz vahm-o-juz pindār niist
Wherever we look, there is no one visible except the beloved,
And besides the beloved, everything else is mere illusion, pride, and a tale.
az jamāl-e-va-huva-mā'kum jalva-hāst
lek har-kas lā'iq-e-dīdār niist
He is with you, (God is with you), shining with beauty,
But not everyone is worthy of witnessing His presence.
chū ḳhudī haiz-e-rijālast ai salīm
pas turā az ḳhud-parastī 'aar niist
O wise , you are courageous, therefore
You have no shame in self-worship.
dāmanī-e-rābi'a biiñ kaar kun
sharm tū az jubba-o-dastār niist
Work like Rabi'a (Rabi'a Basri, the poetess)
That you should have no shame in wearing a cloak and turban.
juz jamāl-e-dost dīdan naqd-naqd
'āshiqāñ rā hech kārobār niist
Except for the beauty of the beloved, there is corruption in everything,
There is no business for the lovers except for him.
diida rā parvarda gardāñ dar jamāl
'ahmadā' bar tū juz iiñ asrār niist
God is visible in beauty and grace,
Ahmed, for you, there is nothing beyond those mysteries.
