maa.em ze-dard-e-ishq bīmār
vaz soḳhtagān-e-mehra-e-dil-dār
We are sick with the pain of love and burnt by the love of the beloved.
saudā zada-e-junū-e-ishqem
rusvā shudae ba-kū-o-bāzār
We are mad lovers of love and wanderers, who are infamous and disgraced in markets and streets.
be-rū-e-tū niist chashm raushan
be ishq-e-tū niist baḳht bedār
Without you, these eyes are not bright and illuminated, and without your love, there is no fortunate awakening.
'ahmad' ze-jamāl-e-āñ parī-rū
dīvāna shudem be-ḳhud-o-zār
Ahmad, we become spellbound and crazy with the beauty of this fairy-like enchantment.
