    ai ki sharah-e-vazzuhā aamad jamāl-e-rū-e-tū

    nukta-e-vallail vasf-e-zulf-e-ambar bū-e-tū

O you, for whose radiant countenance and beauty the commentary of “By the morning brightness” (al-Ḍuḥā) was revealed,

And for the fragrance of your amber-scented tresses the verse of “By the night when it covers” (al-Layl) descended.

    ai do-chashm-e-surmāgīnat kuhl-e-mā-zāġhal-basar

    qaaba qausainast ramz-e-gosha-e-abrū-e-tū

The kohl of your two dark, enchanting eyes is for us the true Zāgh al-Baṣar (the light of sight),

And Qāba Qawsayn is but the subtle gesture at the corner of your brows.

    nusḳha-e-fīhi-shfā.un shahd-e-guftār-e-ḳhushast

    māya-e-yuhyil-izām aamad lab-e-dil-jū-e-tū

Your honey-like sweet discourse is the very prescription of “In it is healing” (fīhi shifāʾ),

And your heart-ravishing lips are the source of “He gives life to the bones” (yuḥyī al-ʿiẓām).

    sīna-e-dādan-e-tū az yāsīñ nishāne mī-dehad

    sūra-e-hā-mīm dārad halqa-e-gesū-e-tū

The shining brilliance of your blessed teeth alludes to Sūrah Yā-Sīn,

And the circling of your locks is the very form of Sūrah Ḥām.

    ka.aba-e-dil qbila-e-jāñ yā-rasūlallah tuī

    sajda-e-miskīñ 'hasan' har-lahza baadā sū-e-tū

O Messenger of Allah, you alone are the Kaʿbah of my heart and the Qiblah of my soul.

This poor servant Ḥasan’s place of prostration is at every moment turned only towards you.
