ai aan ki guzida-e-jahani tu mara
ai aañ ki guzīda-e-jahānī tū marā
ḳhush-tar za dil-o-dīda-o-jānī tū marā
az jaan sanamā ’azīz-tar chīze niist
sad baar 'azīz-tar azānī tū marā
O! (beauteous one) thou who art more than this world to me, nothing is dearer than Life itself, but thou art a hundred fold dearer than Life.
