ba-guzar dila waswasa-e-fikr-e-muhaal
ba-guzār dilā vasvasa-e-fikr-e-muhāl
dar kash qadah-e-bād-o-ba-guzar ze-malāl
āzād shau-o-mujarrad-o-bāda-parast
tā mard shavī rasī ba-sar-e-hadd-e-kamāl
O! heart give up the anxiety of impossible thinking, drink deep from the goblet and forsake grief; free thyself become a separate self and be devoted to wine, for then thou shalt be a man reaching to top-most excellence.
