baze budam parida az ’alam-e-raaz
baaze būdam parīda az ’ālam-e-rāz
tā bū ki rasam man az nashebe ba-farāz
iiñ jā chuuñ na-yāftam kase mahram-e-rāz
zaañ dar ki dar āmdam barūñ raftam baaz
Like a falcon, I flew from the world of secrets (veil of mystery), hoping to attain higher peaks of greatness; but here as I met none who was in the know of the secrets (of Eternity), I went quietly by the same door by which I had entered.
