MORE BYOmar Khayyam

    dar ‘ālam-e-jāñ ba-hosh mī-bāyad buud

    dar kār-e-jahāñ ḳhamosh mī-bāyad buud

    tā-chashm-o-zabān-o-gosh bar bāshad

    be-chashm-o-zabān-o-gosh mī-bāyad buud

In this living world one should be in his senses, and in its affairs should remain dumb, he should not use his eyes, tongue and ears, and allow his senses to retain their places unmoved if he seeks bliss.

    dar ‘alam-e-jaan ba-hosh mi-bayad bud

    dar kar-e-jahan KHamosh mi-bayad bud

    ta-chashm-o-zaban-o-gosh bar ja bashad

    be-chashm-o-zaban-o-gosh mi-bayad bud

In this living world one should be in his senses, and in its affairs should remain dumb, he should not use his eyes, tongue and ears, and allow his senses to retain their places unmoved if he seeks bliss.
