nāqis būvad āñ-ki baada rā naqs kunad
az baada marā tauba che mī-farmā.ī
rūhest ki uu tarbiyat-e-shaḳhs kunad
If thou sprinklest wine on the hill tops, the hills will begin to dance, in reality he is blameworthy who designates wine as unsound and evil; why dost thou forbid me wine, for it is the spirit which promotes the body of a man.
