gar dar-gīrī che-gūna parvāz kunam
bā-'ishq-e-tuī che-gūna āġhāz kunam
yak lahza sarashk-e-dīda mī-na-guzārad
tā chashm ba-rū-e-dīgarī baaz kunam
If thou (O! love) keepest me arrested, how can I fly (into other regions) and how is it possible for me to entertain a new Love the tears of my eyes stop not for a moment, how then is it possible for me to look into the face of another.
