har-chand ze-dast-e-dahar gham-kash bashi
har-chand ze-dast-e-dahar ġham-kash bāshī
va ze-jaur-o-jafā-e-charḳh nā-ḳhush bāshī
zinhār ze-dast na kash āb-e-zulāl
bar lab machkāñ agar dar ātish bāshī
However much thou sufferest from the hand of the times, and from anguish caused by the cruel treatment of the wheel (Destiny); do not accept even clear pure water from the hands of the mean (wicked persons), and do not put it to thy lips even if thou art being consumed in fire.
