har dil ki dar u maya-e-tajrid kam ast
har dil ki dar uu māya-e-tajrīd kam ast
bechāra hama-'umr nadīm-e-nadam ast
juz ḳhātir-e-fāriġh ki nishāte dārad
baaqī hama-'umr har che hast asbāb-e-ġham ast
He who has no desite by grades to rise, is subject to life long depression (and shame); only he who has a mind contented is happy and all others have only reasons for enduring sorrow.
