maem nihada sar ba-farman-e-sharab
maa.em nihāda sar ba-farmān-e-sharāb
jaañ karda fidā-e-lab-e-ḳhandān-e-sharāb
ham sāqī-e-mā halq-e-surāhī dar dast
ham bar lab-e-sāġhar āmada jān-e-sharāb
I am devoted to the behests of wine, I have dedicated my soul to the smiling lips of (the red) wine; I love to see my Saqi come with her hands on the wine flask and the cup brim full of the (Elevating) life of wine.
