ta-chand za masjid-o-namaz-o-roza
tā-chand za masjid-o-namāz-o-roza
dar mai-kada-hā mast sho az daryūza
'ḳhayyām' ba-ḳhūr baada ki iiñ ḳhaak turā
gah jaam kunand-o-gah subū gah kuuza
Till when wilt thou remain abjuring the Masjid divine service and religious fasts, in the taverns be intoxicated avoiding beggary: O! Khayyam, drink wine, for they will make of thy clay now a cup now a flagon and now a wine glass.
