ai az haram zat-e-tu aql aagah ni
ai az haram zāt-e-tū 'aql aagah nī
vaz mā'siyat-o-tā'at mā mustaġhnī
mastam za gunāh-o-za rajā hushyāram
ummīd za rahmat-e-tū dāram yā'nī
O! Thou of whose personal abode nothing is known to mortal wisdom: and though Thou art independent of our sinfulness or Divine Service I am drunk with sinning yet am quite sober when expecting pardon and after all expecting Thy Mercy I live with hopefulness.
