ai charḳh-e-falak na naañ shanāsī na namak
paivasta marā barahna saazī chū samak
az charḳh zanī do shaḳhs poshīda shavand
pas charḳh zanī ba-az tū ai charḳh-e-falak
O! the wheel of firmament thou dost regard neither bread nor salt, naked thou hast always kept me like a fish; the revolving swirl of the spinners is better for from it two persons find good raiment, but from thy revolution only nakedness results.
