āñ-hā ki za pesh rafta and ai saaqī
dar ḳhāk-e-ġhurūr ḳhufta and ai saaqī
rau baada kHur-o-haqīqat az man ba-shino
bādast har aañ che gufta and ai saaqī
Why, all the Saints and Sages who discuss'd
Of the two worlds so learnedly are thrust
Like foolish Prophets forth; their words to Scorn
Are scatter'd, and their mouths are stopt with Dust.
