bar chehra-e-gul shabnam-e-nau-roz ḳhush ast
dar sehn-e-chaman rū-e-dil afroz ḳhush ast
az dī ki guzasht har che goī ḳhush niist
ḳhush-bāsh za dī ma-go ki imroz ḳhush ast
Delightful is the dew of the new year's day upon the face of the rose, enchanting is the light of the face of beauty in the spacious expanses of the garden (enjoy these) but do not mention the evils of the days gone by nor mention tomorrow (with longing) and (be blessed with) enjoyment of today.
