aañ but ki dilam za bahr-e-ū zaar shuda ast
uu jā mī digar ba-ġham-e-giraftār shuda ast
man dar talab ’ilāj-e-kHud chuuñ kūsham
chuuñ āñ-ki tabīb ast bīmār shuda asat
O! (beauteous) idol for whom my soul hath longed; Thou art thyself in pain (love) for another, the healer who could have healed my sickness is himself in the grip of disease (love for another).
