neki-o-badi ki dar nihad basharast
nekī-o-badī ki dar nihād basharast
shādī-o-ġhamī ki dar qazā-o-qadarast
bā-charkH ma-kun havāla kandar rah-e-’aql
charḳh az tū hazār baar bechāra tarast
For evil and good that lie, before mankind, joy and sorrow that are in his destiny, blame not the skies, for the revolving skies (Fate) are a thousand fold more helpless than thee in the path of wisdom.
