abr az rukH-e-gulzār hamī shoyad gard
bulbul ba-zabān-e-hāl ḳhud bā-gul-e-zard
fariyād hamī zanad ki mī-bāyad ḳhurd
The day is pleasant and the breeze is neither hot nor cold, the clouds are washing the dust off from the face of the rose garden the nightingale sings in a language tuned to the time in the company of the yellow rose, that it is the time that one should drink wine.
