The Masnavi of Rumi reached the Indian Subcontinent in late 13the century- in 1276 Ad, three years after Rumi's death. The Masnavi was taken to India by one of his disciples, Ahmad Rumi who belonged to the Suhrawardia and Qadariya Sufi orders.
