BHAKTI MOVEMENT
The Bhakti movement has had a rich and complex history and is considered an integral part of the cultural narrative of India. Both the Hindu and Muslim poets of the Bhakti movement preached harmony, the Sufis were also not far off in spreading the message of love. Though the Bhakti movement began in the 7th century, it went through a complete overhaul after Kabir. The seed of communal harmony sown during Hazrat Amir Khusro’s time blossomed into a full-fledged movement. The Sufi Saints preached the concept of Sulh-e-Kul or togetherness among communities.
