Dadu Sahab's disciples had two disciples named Sundardas. One is called Chhote Sunderdas and the other is called Bade Sunderdas. Among them, the younger Sundardas is more famous. He was the most educated scholar in the saint tradition. Apart from Hindi, he had mastered Punjabi, Gujarati, Sanskrit and Persian. He composed 42 texts, out of which Gyan Samudra and Sundar Vilas are prominent.
