Shah Ameen Ahmad Bihari is a descendant of the granddaughter of Hazrat Makhdoom Jaha'n Sheikh Sharafuddin Ahmad Yahya Maneri who is a well-known Sajjada Nashin and a man of knowledge and grace. He was born on 23 Rajabul-Marjjab was born in 1248 AH in Bihar Sharif. His early education took place in the family and was completed by eminent scholars of Bihar Sharif. Shah Ameen immensely enjoyed reading and spent most of his time doing so. After formal education, they engaged in spiritual education. He became a disciple of Hazrat Syed Shah Jamal Ali Balkhi, Sajjada Nashin of Khanqah Shoebia, Sheikhpura. Shah Ameen Ahmad also swore allegiance and earned caliphate from his father Shah Amiruddin Firdausi Wajd and Zuloom Bihari. A decorated elder of the Firdausia chain, he beautifully presented the teachings and character of Hazrat Makhdoom Jaha'n to the people. His caliphs, disciples and followers were present in large numbers. Shah Ameen Ahmad had a deep taste for poetry. In Persian, he wrote under two pen-names, ‘Zauq’ and ‘Shauq’. Shah Ameen Ahmad Shoq Bihari also showed eloquence in his Urdu poetry. Apart from ghazals, quatrains are also well composed. Shah Ameen Ahmad passed away at the age of 72 years on 4th Jumadil Sani 1321 AH on 29th August 1903. His mausoleum is in the Sajjada Nashin area of Hazrat Makhdoom Jaha'n.
