bin tire ye dard-o-ġham kis se kaheñ
tū nahīñ suntā hai ham kis se kaheñ
ek do bāteñ jo hoñ koī sune
dil kī ḳhvāhish dam-ba-dam kis se kaheñ
chāhtā hai tū agar mujh se na mil
tū hī kah ye ab sitam kis se kaheñ
beshtar hai jaur aur hai mehar kam
aah dil ye besh-o-kam kis se kaheñ
dil samajhtā hī nahīñ dukh ko tire
'ishq' bin ai chashm-e-nam kis se kaheñ
bin tere ye dard-o-gham kis se kahen
tu nahin sunta hai hum kis se kahen
ek do baaten jo hon koi sune
dil ki KHwahish dam-ba-dam kis se kahen
chahta hai tu agar mujh se na mil
tu hi kah ye ab sitam kis se kahen
