na hotā ā.īna hargiz muqābil
tū apnā husn chamkāyā to hotā
vo zālim mārtā hai ghaav par ghaav
bhalā ek zaḳhm silvāyā to hotā
jab aayā taras use bolā muḳhālif
koī din aur tarsāyā to hotā
'turāb' us bin nahīñ dil ko tire chain
kisī sūrat se bahlāyā to hotā

na hota aaina hargiz muqabil

koi din aur tarsaya to hota

kisi surat se bahlaya to hota
