turbat mein sulaegi ek din teri ruposhi
turbat meñ sulā.egī ik din terī rūposhī
is parde meñ niklegā armān-e-ham-āġhoshī
ab kaun bulātā hai ab kaun pilātā hai
saaqī hī ke dam se thī mai-noshoñ kī mah-noshī
saaqī terī hasrat meñ āñkheñ mirī rotī haiñ
mātam kī shahādat hai putlī kī siyah-poshī
ik raaz hai ai 'muztar' turbat kā añdherā bhī
aa.ī hai paye mātam ka.abe kī siyah-poshī
turbat mein sulaegi ek din teri ruposhi
is parde mein niklega arman-e-ham-aghoshi
ab kaun bulata hai ab kaun pilata hai
saqi hi ke dam se thi mai-noshon ki mah-noshi
saqi teri hasrat mein aankhen meri roti hain
matam ki shahadat hai putli ki siyah-poshi
ek raaz hai ai 'muztar' turbat ka andhera bhi
aai hai paye matam kabe ki siyah-poshi
