mulāqāt un se jo bizzāt hogī
sa’ī apnī rashk-e-muhimmāt hogī
fanā un meñ ham apnī maiñ ko kareñge
agar itifāqan mulāqāt hogī
tabāh dil ke ham saare dukhḌe kaheñge
dil hī dil meñ un se agar baat hogī
go ma.ashūq ’āshiq ke dil meñ raheñge
sahīh ‘āshiqī kī ye auqāt hogī
'zakī' tere dil ko vo apnā rakheñge
yahī 'ishq kī tere sauġhāt hogī
mulaqat un se jo bizzat hogi

fana un mein hum apni main ko karenge
agar itifaqan mulaqat hogi
tabah dil ke hum sare dukhDe kahenge
dil hi dil mein un se agar baat hogi
go mashuq ’ashiq ke dil mein rahenge
sahih ‘ashiqi ki ye auqat hogi
'zaki' tere dil ko wo apna rakhenge
yahi 'ishq ki tere saughat hogi
