haram aur dair ke katbe vo dekhe jis ko fursat hai
yahāñ hadd-e-nazar tak sirf unvān-e-mohabbat hai
parastār-e-mohabbat kī mohabbat hī sharī.at hai
kisī ko yaad kar ke aah kar lenā ibādat hai
jahāñ vo haiñ vahāñ dil hai jahāñ vo haiñ vahāñ sab kuchh
magar pahle maqām-e-dil samajhne kī zarūrat hai
bigaḌnā aadmī kā aur banñā phir bigaḌ jaanā
ye kis ke haath meñ nabz-e-mizāj-e-ādamiyat hai
maqām-e-ishq ko har aadmī 'sīmāb' kyā samjhe
ye hai ek martaba jo māvarā-e-ādamiyat hai
haram aur dair ke katbe wo dekhe jis ko fursat hai
yahan hadd-e-nazar tak sirf unwan-e-mohabbat hai
parastar-e-mohabbat ki mohabbat hi shariat hai
kisi ko yaad kar ke aah kar lena ibaadat hai
jahan wo hain wahan dil hai jahan wo hain wahan sab kuchh
magar pahle maqam-e-dil samajhne ki zarurat hai
bigaDna aadmi ka aur banna phir bigaD jaana
ye kis ke hath mein nabz-e-mizaj-e-adamiyat hai
maqam-e-ishq ko har aadmi 'simab' kya samjhe
ye hai ek martaba jo mawara-e-adamiyat hai
