hai zabt-e-ġham se josh-e-vafā meñ ḳhushī mujhe
shāyad ma.āl-e-ġham se nahīñ āgahī mujhe
mahsūs infirādiyat apnī huī mujhe
dī kis ne be-ḳhudī meñ sslā-e-ḳhudī mujhe
ye zauq-e-intizār ye tanhā.ī-e-mazār
thā husn-e-ittifāq ki niiñd aa ga.ī mujhe
maiñ ham-vatan huuñ 'ġhālib'-o-'mīr'-o-'nazīr' kā
'sīmāb' raas aa.e na kyuuñ shā.erī mujhe
hai zabt-e-gham se josh-e-wafa mein KHushi mujhe
shayad maal-e-gham se nahin aagahi mujhe
mahsus infiradiyat apni hui mujhe
di kis ne be-KHudi mein ssla-e-KHudi mujhe
ye zauq-e-intizar ye tanhai-e-mazar
tha husn-e-ittifaq ki nind aa gai mujhe
main ham-watan hun 'ghaalib'-o-'mir'-o-'nazir' ka
'simab' ras aae na kyun shaeri mujhe
