عربی حروفِ تہجّی کا اکّیسواں ، فارسی کا چوبیسواں ، اردو کا سین٘تیسواں (۳۷) حرف جسے قافِ قَرَشَت بھی کہتے ہیں ، یہ حرف ترکی زبان میں بھی پایا جاتا ہے ، اس کی آواز کوّے کے متصل ، زبان کی جڑ جب اوپر کے تالو سے ٹکّر کھاتی ہے تو نکلتی ہے ، حسابِ جُمل میں اس کے سو عدد مانے گئے ہیں.
