ai jamal-e-pak-e-tu iman-e-man
ai jamāl-e-pāk-e-tū īmān-e-man
jalva-e-husn-e-tū nūr-e-jān-e-man
O you of pure beauty and perfection, you alone are my faith; The radiance of your splendour is the very light of my life.
yā-mohammad yā-nabī yā-mustafā
juz tu na-buvad sūrat-e-irfān-e-man
O Muhammad, O Prophet, O Mustafa—apart from you,
There is no path for my spiritual understanding.
aañ che ba-numā.ī hamāñ 'ain-ul-yaqīn
aañ che farmā.ī hamāñ qur.ān-e-man
Whatever you have shown is, for me, certainty itself;
And whatever you have spoken is, for me, the very Qur’an.
ahmadā dard-e-dilam az had guzasht
yā rasūlallāh ba-kun darmān-e-man
O Ahmad, the pain of my heart has now grown beyond measure,
O Messenger of God, look upon my condition, for you alone are my remedy.
be-sar-o-pā.em za ’ishqat chuuñ 'azīz'
hast be-sāmāniyam sāmān-e-man
O Aziz, I have become so bewildered and undone in your love,
That now this very state of disarray has become my only possession.
