do-’alam ba-kakul giraftar dari
do-'ālam ba-kākul giraftār daarī
ba-har mū hazārāñ siyāhkār daarī
(O beloved Messenger!) You hold both worlds lovingly within your curls, and upon each strand rest thousands of sinners seeking your shelter (Truly, the whole of creation is embraced by your tresses, and in every lock, countless fault-filled hearts find their bond).
za-sar tā-ba-pā rahmate yā mohammad
nazar jānib-e-har gunahgār daarī
O Muhammad (pbuh), you are mercy itself, from head to toe, and your gentle gaze turns with kindness towards every sinner.
do abrū-e-ḳham chuuñ do shamshīr-e-'uryāñ
do chashm-e-fusūñ-sāz-o-'ayyār daarī
Your curved eyebrows are like sharp, gleaming blades, and your eyes are enchantment in their purest form (In this language of love, your beauty is such that none can escape its pull, If one is a disbeliever or idolater, their disbelief meets its end, and the faithful give all they have for you).
'azīz' allāh-allāh ki az kufr-e-'ishqash
nihāñ dar tah-e-ḳhirqa zunnār daarī
By God, O Aziz! Even this is a denial of his love, that you hide a sacred thread beneath your robe, (practising hypocrisy).
