ba-har rū-e-jamāl-e-yār hastam
sarāpā maz.har-e-dildār hastam
From every aspect, I am immersed in the beauty of my beloved,
From head to toe, I am the manifestation of my beloved.
ba-rañg-e-nāz-o-bū-e-jumla ḳhūyam
ba-har gulshan bahār-e-yār hastam
In the hues of grace and the fragrance of all virtues,
In every garden, I am the spring of my beloved.
gahe zāhid gahe pīr-e-ḳharābāt
gahe dīvāna gah hushiyār hastam
At times a ascetic, at times a sage of the tavern,
Sometimes mad, sometimes wise and prudent.
ba-josh aamad mai-e-innī-anallāh
ba-jām-e-'shiblī'-o-'attār' hastam
The wine of Inni Anallah (I am indeed God) surged forth,
I am intoxicated by the cup of Shibli and Attar.
jamāl-e-māh-rūyāñ az jamālam
numāyāñ ba-rsar-e-bāzār hastam
The beauty of moon-faced ones is revealed in my own charm,
Thus, I stand out openly in the marketplace.
anal-haq guft 'ārif' ham-chū mansūr
pai-e-afsān-hā bardār hastam
And ʿĀrif too, like Mansūr, proclaimed “Anā’l-Ḥaqq” (“I am the Truth”),
So I too go forth to the gallows, to become a tale for ages to come.
ba-har ru-e-jamal-e-yar hastam
sarapa mazhar-e-dildar hastam
From every aspect, I am immersed in the beauty of my beloved,
From head to toe, I am the manifestation of my beloved.
ba-rang-e-naz-o-bu-e-jumla KHuyam
ba-har gulshan bahaar-e-yar hastam
In the hues of grace and the fragrance of all virtues,
In every garden, I am the spring of my beloved.
gahe zahid gahe pir-e-KHarabaat
gahe diwana gah hushiyar hastam
At times a ascetic, at times a sage of the tavern,
Sometimes mad, sometimes wise and prudent.
ba-josh aamad mai-e-inni-anallah
ba-jam-e-'shibli'-o-'attar' hastam
The wine of Inni Anallah (I am indeed God) surged forth,
I am intoxicated by the cup of Shibli and Attar.
jamal-e-mah-ruyan az jamalam
numayan ba-rsar-e-bazar hastam
The beauty of moon-faced ones is revealed in my own charm,
Thus, I stand out openly in the marketplace.
anal-haq guft 'arif' ham-chu mansur
pai-e-afsan-ha bardar hastam
And ʿĀrif too, like Mansūr, proclaimed “Anā’l-Ḥaqq” (“I am the Truth”),
So I too go forth to the gallows, to become a tale for ages to come.
