banī aadam ā’zā-e-yak paikarand
ki dar āfrīnash za yak gauharand
Human beings are members of a whole،
In creation of one essence and soul.
chu 'uzv-e-ba-dard āvarad rozgār
digar 'uzv-hā rā na-mānad qarār
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
tu kaz mehnat-e-dīgarāñ be-ġhamī
na-shāyad ki nāmat nahand aadmī
If you've no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain!
